At the advice of someone here on my earlier post, I recently contacted the Arkansas Muzzle Loaders Association, based in Hattieville.
Received several very inviting and welcoming emails in return, and was induced, against my will, to go out to their range. Everyone there was EXTREMELY friendly. They were almost competing to be more welcoming. They showed me about a hundred different guns, many of them beautifully handmade. They talked to me about my interests, explained all the equipment, introduced me all around, invited me to dinner, to matches, to shoot anytime. And even though I was very nervous about it, they showed me how to shoot a flintlock. And I hit the paper several times. A few hours later I was home maxing out my credit card.
Be careful about these folks. They are TRYING to addict you with their friendliness and knowledge and skill and niceness. Very devious. It works. :nono:
