I don't know if this really helps, but you can find proof marks here:

The Bluebook only covers the Major manufactures not the small shops in Italy. Was told that the small shops bought parts from the larger ones and sold to companies like FIE. This info I got rom FIE back in the 70's. The company that made PR revolvers sold out, and now make Highgrade shotguns. Was not the best put together revolvers, but good steel/chrome parts. I saw a lot of problems, out of time, Barrels oversized/undersized, cylinder gap incorrect from excessive to lock up after first shot, cylinders milled short, chambers drilled off center etc. Some had no problems, most that had brass frames were the problem childs. Seems like the major problems still exist after how many years!

RG/RAG is Rino Glesi is the same Rigarmi, if anybody is interested was referenced by a Detective he looked it up in the Federal database on manufactured Firearms.

Hello,

I have a Rem 1858 of 1970 stamped RG and RAG but I was thinking of "Renato GAMBA" who is still manufacturing guns ( but no more BP replicas).
So Rigarmi or R. Gamba ????

Thanks for the info

Regards

I've got a 58 Remmy marked Rigarmi on the barrel and RAG on the butt but no RG anywhere on it.

Mine is stamped RAG at the bottom of the grip and RG on the side of the lever.
So in fact Rigarmi is more realistic.

Any info on this company or on Renato Gamba logo ?

Regards
