A friend of mine sent me this picture. He took it in the oldest house in Laceyville PA, built in 1781 for a Capt.Smith of the 24th Conn. Militia.
I don't know what kind of animal it was made from, but it sure looks unique! I believe it's a priming horn, judging from the size.

Unusual!!! No doubt about that...I have a "pocket"
that I made from a alligator leg.
