I have a percussion pistol with an unusual rear sight. The only marking anywhere is "Made in Spain" on the barrel. The sight is so unique, I thought someone might be able to identify the manufacturer. The elevation is controlled by a spring and a screw hidden inside the stock. The barrel is fluted with engravings if that helps. IMG_8096.JPGIMG_8080.JPG

The general style of the lock and barrel area is typical of some of the earlier Spanish replicas. The sight? Not so much. Also the stock looks much nicer with the checkering than any of the early Spanish replica pistols I've owned or handled. I'm guessing at one of two possibilities. 1: someone decided to build a gun that better suited his needs and wants (and made the sight either on his own or to duplicate an original he had seen) or 2: One of the Spanish companies offered a premium grade version of one of their guns (with that sight) that I simply never encountered an example of.

Either way it is a very nice looking pistol and the sight design is interesting. I like it!
