Has anyone had experience shooting one of the United States Historical Society's flintlock pistols. Either the Washington pistols or the Washington and Lee pistols. Are they loadable, shootable and safe to fire?

I have a pair of the Washington and Lee pistols. They are beautiful. But, I have never fired them. I've been tempted... but don't think I will. :idunno:

And welcome

I don't blame you for not wanting to shoot your Washington and Lee pistols. However, are they made so that one could shoot them if they wanted?

Somewhere I've seen or heard that the USHS flintlock pistols were shooters if the owner desired. True or False!
