I agree that there's more ways than one to "skin a cat", but rough cutting a partial shape to "anchor" the bbl seems like more work than just clamping the bbl down on a flat surface? Not criticizing the way you do it, just thought about the addt'l time involved.

At any rate, inletting a swamped bbl is tedious boring work, anyways to me....so mine are shipped to Dave Rase for the bbl and RR work. Don't know if others can consistently end up w/ 1/16"- 3/32" webs at the breech which are req'd for a truly slim Bucks County LR.
