using shot in a rifled barrel?

The .32 GM barrel I have also has the newer type ramrod.
I'll get in touch with GM and see what they have in stock as fas .62 smoothbores for the Hawkens.

I bought mine from GM directly, but I've since learned that some supply houses actually sell them for less...I think TOW is about $20 less than GM direct

Roundball, The TC stocks are made as a compromise so that a scope or high iron sight can be used.
Even so with the irons they will usually punch you on the cheekbone with heavy loads. Original trade guns had a lot of drop and no rear sight.
Smoothbores are made that way even today, although with less drop. To shoot your gun in a trade gun match, you would have to remove the rear sight. Unless your face is shaped a lot different than most you couldn't get your face down level with the barrel. You either have to bend the stock at the wrist or cut down the comb
or better restock the gun.
