Has any one tried the V peep from RMC. I have a new CVA bobcat and the small buckhorn and blade are almost imossible to see with the old eyes. I bought weaver bases and tried a scope but it just doesn't look right an a side hammer.

The V peep is a great sight, you cant go wrong with them and RMC is a great company to do business with, check out their web site. All of their products are real quality, and they stand by everything they sell.

I have one on my flint lock Deerstalker. It works very well. I'm not a big fan of the fiber optic front sight but I intalled it anyway.
I've been told the sight is legal in the Pennsylvania flint lock season which requires 'open' sights but still allows the advantages of a peep sight.
Very well worth the money.
Good shooting.

Barrel mounted peeps require a great deal of light, or a very big hole to allow dim light through. They are accurate enough, when you can make out the target. The Marine Corp used one on their Springfield '03s before WWII. You'll find them on late ware Arisakas also. :winking:
