i may be getting my hands on another t/c cherokee . i have one that i have had since i was 12. i am unsure if ill keep it for parts or sale. whats a real world value for these guns? the negitive is its been tapped for scope mounts. but he claims its in great shape

I have 2 TC Hawken that are in excellent shape. Paid $100 for one and did some trading for the other at a pawn shop that wanted $200 for the other. I wouldn't give any more for a Cherokee unless I wanted it mighty bad.

just my opinion & yer welcome to it. drillin' & tappin' it for scope mounts ruined whatever value it might have had. I wouldn't give more than what it was worth to me for parts.

Plug the holes ,,,reblue/brown the barrel and go shooting ,,,, If you feel it is junk or you don't want to shoot it send it to me ,,, This Boy ain't proud ,,, If it shoots I like it ,, if it shoot accurate I like it more..

I sold the Cherokee I had for my boys when they grew up to a friend for his daughter ($200 for gun and a lot of accessories ). His daughter shot one year and then moved to live with her mother. When I tried to buy it back for the grandson he wouldn't sell it back. (some friend ). I ended up paying $400 to get another after looking for two years . So the question is:" What is it worth to YOU!" :idunno:

I didn't say I wouldn't have, just wouldn't give much for it.

Thanks for the replies, I thought these fetched alittle more than s Hawkens

go to gun broker and look at the actual prices they bring.

They are around $400 bucks.

the cherokee i got here a couple weeks ago i paid 400 for. i like it but i like the seneca better. one thing for sure they are very lite and easy to clean. the value for cherokees and senecas are around 300 and up. compared to hawkens and renegades on availability they are a 100 to 1 now thats just a guess on the numbers but you only see one to a few at any given time compared to 20 or more at a time for hawkens and renegades. not sure how many cherokees and senecas were made but the newest ones i have seen only had a 5 digit serial number and the hawkens and renegades can have over 6. To the folks that like and use t/c muzzle loaders the price is going to stay strong.

I have a Cherokee and a Seneca, and they almost always are a higher price than a Hawken or Renegade, in similar condition. Around $400. for a Cherokee and $500.+ for a nice Seneca. Both are difficult to find in excellent condition. Light weight and handy in .32,.36, and .45 calibers. The main thing to check, is the bore.
