Local pawn shop has one. Was wanting to trade it for a Uberti dragoon. I know they have a small following. Have had one myself for 40 years but am hankerin' for a dragoon. Thanks for lookin, Jaeger

I would like to own one but I would not pay more than $275+ for one in as new condition or maybe $325 for a NIB one with all the paperwork.

I am not sure if I follow you. The LPS has an R&S NIB for sale. The LPS wants to trade it for a Uberti Dragoon? Or do you have a R&S NIB that you want to trade for a Uberti Dragoon?

In pre-pandemic times those prices may have been correct, but not these days. The Italian manufacturers are virtually idle and no new revolvers are forthcoming in the near future. Folks are selling guns from their collections and fetching a good price, even for revolvers that have not been manufactured in years.

Regards,

Jim

Regards,

sourdough, Actually I purchased it. NOW I'm hoping to trade for a Uberti dragoon. Thinkin with the high prices may be able to make a trade. I know they have a certain following, albiet small. My shooter is around 4 decades old and still running, and I am aware of the parts situation. Maybe I'll suck wind on this one. An auction site has one bid up to $550 at first look.

OK. Thanks for the reply.

I don't think you will "suck wind" on an R&S. No one has made one for decades and there are folks like me who want one; I just don't have the money yet.

Now it just comes down to which Uberti Dragoon you want.

I have one of these that I bought in 2018 on sale for $360 from Midway. Those were different times than the present.

Uberti 1848 Whitneyville Dragoon Black Powder Revolver 44 Cal 7.5 (midwayusa.com)
