Local guy is selling a TC renegade in .54 caliber. Im thinking of picking it up as it would be easier at the BP shoots cause my lyman pistol is .54. Whats it worth? Pictures he sent looks like its almost un-fired condition? Thanks guys.

The region of the country matters, some areas have allot of trad Ml's others have few.
Renegades in good to excelant condition around here go for $200-300 tops.
A 54 Renegade is Su-weet,,,

I paid 5.6 ounces of silver for mine which considering the spot price of silver the day I traded, it came out to about $155-160 for the rifle.
Same silver is worth about $170-180 bucks this last week.

He wanted a bit more but I picked up 3 rifles that day so he cut me a break and the trade value.

If it had been just the one rifle considering it is in very good condition, I would have been willing to part with up to $250 worth of silver.

region, caliber, condition(especially bore condition) all play into the equation. perhaps most important is : is it a price yer willin' to pay? by the way, i totally agree with necchi. it's hard to beat a 54cal renegade. luck to ya & have a good'en friend, bubba.

The bore looked good and that is the model with the old style sights and double set triggers. I have 3 of them, 2 .54s and a .50. Looks like you got a really good deal on it.
