Penny,

Still stirring up controversy, huh. :nono:
Just kidding.
As you already know, I always install vent liners. I use white lightnin' and there is nothing faster.
There is absolutely NEVER any reason to remove, unless they are being replaced. and NO danger of them blowing out if installed properly.
Where most problems come from, are the screwdriver slotted ones that are easily removed, guys think they have to remove them every time they clean their guns. In and out, In and out, pretty soon it doesn't get tightened, or the threads get buggered up and out it comes.
A white lightnin when installed properly, is part of the barrel and must be removed with and ez-out.

Very fast, very reliable. Remember, and idiot can blow anything up. :blah:

I use the RMC brand that have the Allen wrench hole in it. I remove it for cleaning after every time I go to the range.
I just put some of the bore butter on the threads before putting it back in the barrel. Not overtightening it will make it last longer as well.
I have had the one in my 40 cal for 2 years now. I shoot 30 rounds per match and 10 matches a year with practice in between and they hold up great. I have them in the other 5 guns also and could not be happier.

Don't use them. With a 5/64 externally coned touch hole, sharp flint, clean frizzen, and no powder in said touch hole, ignition is as close to instantaneous as you're going to get. Besides, it's the tradional and proper way to do it.

OK Mike, you win, I just ordered three WL liners and a tap, we'll see. I just don't believe ANY advertising claims and anything you can name I'll find someone who thinks it is the best.
