Size 9 ?? What would that work on ?
How old, 1960's??

Nice find, I wouldn’t worry about what they would work on as a sealed tin of caps the value is as a collectable. Once the seal is broken it’s just caps.
UMC stands for Union Metallic Cartridge. Look up when that company folded.
