I just got this Parrot Vise for Christmas. I'm thinking about mounting it on a post with a TD Steel Works ball base for stock carving and engraving.

Nice Christmas present! Looks very nice, never saw one of those before, unique.
 
Curious to know what folks are using for gun vises in their shops.
An antique wood vice ...found the wood screw in 96 and the front jaw in 2004 ....built the rest of the bench ... Might have $10 in it all ... Have modern vice on another bench for metal parts ....
