Just got back from the Artisan show in Carlisle PA. Great show. Picked up a copper voyager powder flask from Goose Bay workshops booth. I have seen this online and thought about getting one for my matchlocks and early flintlocks. There were two at the display. Some other rope burner bought the other one so i grabbed the last one. I have to say i am impressed with it. Its very stoutly built without being heavy. In other words its gonna take a-lot to dent it up. It was sanded smooth to about 400-600 grit. I polished this one with mothers mag polish. And will let it patina with use. The maker said it should hold about a 1/2 pound. He also said it was copied from a found original and it was french in origin. He also had greniders matchlock cord holders and many other interesting brass and copper made items. Now i need to get a cord strap on it.
