I like to use wasp nest or tow for wadding with shot.Anyone else out there use this stuff?
What do you carry it in and not overstuff your shooting bag?
I'm also working with a simple brown paper wad,Takes up less space.

I used to use felt wads, now I jsut punch my leather scraps to make leather wads. Since I have a large supply of wads and make punches for myself and friends. In the past I used old baler twine strings as a substitute for tow.

Spudnut,
I have used wasp nest with great sucess & have used tow also. On matierial that we have in great abundance in my area is spanish moss. I have not used it for shot but, have used it as wadding between my powder and unpatched round balls.....It shoot great and I am getting good compresion out of it.

Good luck,
David

I use wasp nest material but only in my rifles, so far. I use home punched felt wads the most but I don't have a punch for every caliber I shoot. In these I use wasp nest. I've been thinking of trying it in my fowler as I have a fair supply at the moment.
