Ordered a Kibler smr in extra fancy maple Thursday. Was told that caliber barrel was in stock and would ship in 2-3 weeks.

I ordered my Kibler .45 SMR July 2, 2021 but just called and asked Lorie to switch it over to .40 Thursday. She said they expect the .45 barrels in two weeks but had the .40 in stock. She switched it with no problem. Sorry I didn't ask about any other sizes.

I ordered my SMR on 8/17. I really believe them now when they say "approximate" wait time. I'm busy bow hunting now anyway.

My first flint rifle was a 40 cal Delcur brl from Kit Ravenshear shallow button rifled one in 48" or so cut it to 31" wedded a London stamped old basically N E militia type export affair original.
The rifle more 'After Wm Grice' Uglee but first rifle . it was poor at 100 yards ball (Most UK ranges started at 100 yards ) But with a one & a half dram powder & a patched picket style bullet it shot well out & beyound the 100 yards , .Lost it in Queensland due to Anti gun govt .Might turn up ,Had a serpant and cheek piece added & the proofs where a row of Bear stampings ( My Cutlery mark at that time ) hook breech, three flat keys , Beech two piece stock . Do I want it? Nah just like to know it survived .

I live in Queensland since the late 80's and at no time did "the Anti gun govt" State or Federal Ban or restrict Muzzle loading Black powder firearms. As a matter of fact NO STATE in Australia did, and to this day Muzzle loaders arent restricted at all, in fact I've had a Jim Chambers kit imported without any trouble, and know others who've done the same.

I once waited close to 11 months for a TVM .45 L Lancaster; and it was well worth the wait. The Kibler SMR kits are pretty awesome, and one in .45 (#1) or .40 (#2) is on my wish list.

I was going to order a Kibler kit, but sadly he doesnt make left handed ones.

Thinking of TVM, was looking at TOW Golden Age era kit but they've dropped it from their listing.

TVM offers rifles in left hand version. Your choice of which lock to use is smaller but you can specify a left hand lock by any maker who can furnish one.

On the bench right now

Well ! you got it half right. The .32's are going to come with Rice barrels for now. In the blank and rifled. He will machine them like all is others.
He was having difficulty rifling the 32's. That has bin the delay for the 32. I know, bin waiting for mine for 10 month's. The rice barrels are 1 in 48 twist I think.

Did you use an importer/gun shop for that or import it yourself?
