There are easy fixes for the dropping lever problem, should it occur. And you give up a lot of power when you go from a Walker to a Dragoon. The weight savings is about five ounces...

Some years ago, I bought the San Marco Walker kit for $125. I did not take great pains in finishing it. I 'color cased' the frame using the torch method. The color has held up well. The grips were cheap wood. in the pic, you will see my Uberti 'Police' model. the action was terrible! The timing was way off, main spring was too weak.I worked hours and hours on it to get it right. I finished the grips with violin varnish, takes weeks to dry, but like glass-if you're into that. The Walker action was perfect out of the box. The Navy Arms Paterson has a beautiful finish, but stiff action-guess that was the way Patersons were!

It came today and boy is it purty!
Fit and finish are excellant and I can't find any littles dings anywhere.
Spent most of the afternoon cleaning and degreasing.
Inside the cylinder was especially tough, with all
the oil down against the nipples but shes clean as a whistle now.
Hope your as happy with yours. Can't wait to make it
smoke.

Here in UK that's called 'gunsmithing' and if you are not registered as a gunsmith, you can be charged with 'feloniously producing a Section 1 Firearm contrary to the Firearms Acts of 1926, 1968, 1988, 1997 and 203, 4 and 5'.

This carries a maximum sentence of ten years for each part of the offence, an unlimited fine, and death by hanging, drawing and quartering, burnt at the stake, and get smacked by the archbisop of Canterbury. Not necessarily in that order.

Mind you, if you and your pal get together and drown a fine young man in a deep pool by stoning him until he loses consciousness, you may get away with ten hours community service, and a slap-up meal at the end of it.

Sorry, I'm being sarcastic here. :cursing:

No need to apologise, my friend. We live with constant threat of such nonsense here. Its what comes of people with no understanding of the situation enacting legislation that is intended to regulate it. You have Parliament. We call our insane asylum Congress. The poor, mentally challenged twits that dwell within are are cut from the same cloth. :rotf:
