Unfortunately, Google doesn`t give me much information about the Gunsmith.

I think that Frederic Berntheisel (b. 1838) was a gun maker in Luneville, located west of Strausbourg, France - Are there any proofmarks on the hidden underside of the barrel ?

I can`t say that yet. I haven`t gotten my hands on it yet. But i will let you know as soon as i get it.
