nit wit, I'm talking the run of the mill JBMR not the centennial model with the fancy wood and the medallion in the butt stock that came in a wooden display case, those were much desired and only a thousand made. The model I'm looking for is much easier to find with many thousands made.

I don't believe many thousands were made, my understanding is thousand were made total. The ser # on mine (2) would reflect that. Maybe someone can carve you a stock.

They were produced between 1977 through 1983, estimates range from 10000 upwards to 15000 were manufactured which includes the centennial model which came in a wooden case with a powder horn numbered 1 to 1000 with fancy walnut and a medallion inletted into the buttstock.

Ha! If I had one 'laying around' with a rusty bbl., I'd get the bbl. off there fast and replace it, one way or another. Perhaps having it re-bored to a larger caliber if it's not re-freshable! :)
