The curl in that stock is beautiful, I can’t wait to see it after it’s been stained

Hot Damn…that was fast
That'll work nicely ! Just think about all the potential and advantage at your finger tips compared to our ancestors who were blessed to have a file and some scrap iron to start with.View attachment 370992
After enjoying the Christmas festivities I spent the evening cleaning up the garage and rearranging things to transition into the best gun making shop I could with the resources I had.
Is it ideal? Nope! But I am going to work with it. I have never in my life ever done anything like this and I am incredibly excited to get started on my Woodsrunner in the morning!!
Merry Christmas and I’ll post updates as a complete novice tries his hand at a Kibler’s.
Thanks gang!!

After you get done with the finish on the stock. Use that 1/16 drill to clean out all your pin holes. You'll be supprized how much build up finish that collects in the holes, lock inlet and ramrod thimbles inlets. When doing several coats of oil finish.Absolutely. Going into the holes with a 1/16" bit to clean them out a little and lubing the pins with wax helps a lot too.
