This is a Wells & Hale .36 caliber, percussion, muzzleloading, double rifle. It is in shootable condition. The double triggers operate as a set trigger and firing trigger rather than a traditional double-trigger/double-barrel shotgun type setup. Both hammers operate, but the right hammer is a bit finicky so care is encouraged.

German silver furniture. Barrels are 26”. Patch box in the stock. Rear sight may be a replacement.

I would not buy this for a wall hanger.

I have not fired it. I picked it up from an older gentleman in the club. He had fired it, but knew little of its history.

That’s pretty nifty. So if both hammers are cocked does it switch to the second barrel with the second set of the trigger?
