west ozy mallee burl wood

nearly finished this knife handle made out of west ozy mallee burl, it's about as easy to work as a piece of tungsten steel but well worth it, it has some small fishers in it that i will fill with clear epoxy when i fit the blade in it it will be a Swedish puko blade.

Yep, you have some beautiful woods down under WW. I have several large blocks of exhibition grade Blackwood burl, Pinkwood burl and Red Cheetah from TAZ plus some Black Palm from Queensland that I bought years ago to make custom predator calls out of. They'd all make great knife scales as well.
