Oh yeah, I remember that fish. It was so big I'm still eatin on it. :rotf:
Actually the gun is my old Rigarmi. It was already lookin pretty skundgy and really looked funny with a brand new blued loading lever so I decided to age it a lil bit. Almost done with it.
Mule Brain said:Looks like it was recovered from from the USS Monitor  What did you hit it with? Chlorine?
I would not be afraid to fire it, assuming it doesn't look that internally.
Looks real good, and would fool even myself!
rebel727 said:Can it be made to fire again?
Mule Brain said:I am sure it looked like a 300 dollar gun before, and now it looks closer to a 1000 dollar gun
Mule Brain said:What is the ratio of salt vinegar mixture? How long did it take to get this amount of corrosion?
Mule Brain said:Would be interesting to use Electrolysis to remove the rust, then hit it with a wire wheel!
Wes/Tex said:You can have it hot-dipped galvanised...that'll make it shiny! :haha:
50cal.cliff said:That's not that new one you just bought is it? :shake:
It looks like it was recovered off a Civil War battlefield somewhere! :hmm:
So you didn't go and blow yur thumb off with that antique when you shot it did you? :rotf:
Seriously, any performance issues after the aging?
The aging really worked well, just need to dink up the handle grips a little now! I guarantee the next time you go to the range someone's going to ask, Wow how old is that one? :rotf: :rotf:
