I’m in the process of working on a CVA Kentucky rifle and read something here about soaking the lock in vinegar to remove the case hardened look. Well the overnight soak accidentally turned into TWO days in vinegar and now the frizzen, pan, and hammer all have developed a course dark texture. The lock plate and internals seem OK though. What are my options?
