I use a hand made knife made from an old nickelson file with a deer antler handle, that I made myself. Why a home made knife? Because I am a buckskinner!

It's more my range bag than possible bag, but I give her a few strokes every time at the range and it seems it's always sharp.

Lent it to my brother-in-law one day to cut a chunk of hose, told him it was sharp, went through that hose like butter. He said he was not used to a scraper that sharp. I've used his knife a few times, it's about like trying to cut something with a putty knife.

I use a chisel that ground at a 45 degree angle to make a super sharp kiridashi type knife, only sharpened it three times in a few years.

I had a man make me a combo patch knife and fire steel. hang round my neck for cutting patches and the grip can be used with a flint to spark a fire
