What do you use for trim?

You could do both if you wanted. The bag in the Picture looks good with no trim, just my opinion. I try to use the same leather for bag and trim if there is enough. Then the colors will match up pretty evenly if dyed. Keep up the good work...PeashooterJoe
 
You can use the same leather just cut it thinner, with a skive knife or splitter. I have one that looks kind one of those cheese cutters that cuts thin slices. It mounts a razor blade in it and I just pull it along the leather and it shaves it thinner.

What did you use for the strap?
Could go either way for trim. :hmm:
 
Hi,I used cotton webbing bought from jas townsend & sons.They have it at a goog price.Squib
 
Find someone who sells chair cane and supplies and ask for shaker strap for chair bottoms. it is 1" wide cotton webbing and comes in colors.
Or pigskin is thin and you could cut it to size and do the strip.
