We should all apologize for that.
Any time you join a new forum on a particular subject you will encounter their own acronym language. It is a common failing and, really, rude to the newcomer who is trying to learn.
I belong to a wood working forum that has a sticky with a list of acronyms for newcomers.
But, FWIW (for what it's worth), that is the least of the craziness you will encounter here. Welcome and good luck.

And it can be confusing even when you've been here a few years. Sometimes I have no idea what they heck some of you are talking about. This is why I seldom use abbreviations. Doesn't take much effort to type out the whole word. Bill

Acronyms can be confusing.

When I was designing jet and gas turbine engines people would go around talking about the TIT (turbine inlet temperature), HOT (high oil temperature), HCF (high cycle fatigue) and stuff like that all the time.

My son who lives in Northern Arizona says he wants to get a T-shirt that has What? painted on the front in large letters.

In small letters below the What? it says "Welcome To Flagstaff"

Patched Round Ball.
Thank you..I was presented with a CVA Frontier Octogon barelled 50cal muzzleloader percussion type of rifle. It was "gifted" upon.my fathers passing. Never shot it before or any muzzleloader for that matter. But it looks like a good time, so I'm trying to learn "from the pros" the best way to properly.use the correct powder and ammunition for it.

so I'm trying to learn "from the pros"
Yes, the Pros are here, and so are a bunch of jokesters!
Often, they're the same people!
