Whitetail deer, cottontail rabbit, ruffed grouse and the occasional gray squirrel.

Found some wevils in a box of crackers I was working on and half a worm in an apple, but in neither case were they taken in fair chase. ;-)

Other than the ordinary Deer, Bear, Hog, Squirrel, etc. what wild game do you eat?
Other than what's on your list, rabbit, quail, and dove. I've had 'coon and liked it, just never been a 'coon hunter.

I tried groundhog after reading an article about how good it was - must'a done it wrong... :haha:

Rattlesnake is very good in my opinion.

:hatsoff:

Also have had rattlesnake.

Pretty good.

I've had at least a taste of most everything already mentioned. Actually, the beaver and possum were rather tasty. We haven't bought much beef in about ten years - we have a source for buffalo (free range) and prefer it over beef. I haven't shot it myself, though, does that still count?

I would try anything and have, for the most part!
But no possum,no way. If there is one creature
that needs to go exstict it is the possum.IMHO
snake-eyes:surrender:

like I say you have to be selective about the one you catch but I'll say again a nice fat young possum that has been feeding on fruit, acorns, persimmons and other mast is some tasty eating. baked until just a little crispy forms and stuffed with chopped sweet 'tater (irish will do), apple, onion and a sprinkle of ground red pepper.
be sure to carefully remove the glands located in the leg pits, same as raccoon. (more fine eating also IMO)
