Kin I still apply fer tha position of "Village Idiot",
Sorry, Rollingb. The only positions still available on the Forum are: Town Drunk, Town Crier, and Court Jester. ::  There used to be a Forum Membership Due Enforcement Officer, but folks kept shooting at 'im, so Claude eliminated the position! ::

I want one of those T-shirts also, can somebody get them printed up?

I came up with the idea and went to a printer who did t-shirts. I just had him make two of 'em. But I still have the draft, or whatever printers call them, and can get more made. I did this a couple of years ago, so I'll have to see if I can find it. If you're serious , I'll let you know.

I had a t-shirt made up once that said:
"True American Minority...
I believe in God
I love my country
I work for my money
and I love my wife!"
T-shirt got alot of attention.

Actually, I have a sense that a majority of americans are sick of this nonsence and we may be seeing the beginnings of a backlash to this nonsence. Maybe that's what Moral values really means as it pertained to the top answer in the last election. So, you may not really be a true american minority but part of a silent majority. I read an article 2 years ago were women today are increasingly choosing to stay home with their babies instead of going back to work. Alot of this garbage has it's roots in the 60's and now people are slowly waking up to these utter failures. :imo:

Case in point: I live near duluth, minnesota, the "San Francisco of the Great Lakes" they had a 10 commandment monument that was in front of the court house since 1955 or 57. Well, it seems 10 ACLU types decided in 2004 that that wasnt just proper. Threatened to take the city to court. The citizens were outraged.Polls showed that well over 70% wanted to keep the monument right were it was. Well, it being that there city council was made up of those leftist types, they told the fair citizens of Duluth, "We, the Imperial City Council of Duluth knows what's best."
So off went the monument into storage. This is the same city council that a year earlier support and endorsed a Gay pride parade. Nothing against gay people i have, mind you, but it is an illustration of the mindset of the minority that seeks to impose a value system that is rejected by the majority through the threat of litigation.

Amen. It seems to me that the 9Th and 10th Amendments are pretty much forgotten. Let's say before the Constitution was signed that Maryland or Massachusetts had Christmass decorations on public property. It would seem that States then had that right(actual power- only people have rights) and that such is ushered in under the 9th and 10th. The 1st would then mean that COPNGRESS SHALL PASS NO LAW telling the States or the People they can't do what they were already doing. We're getting a little sidetracked here but the tie in is with firearms. Most of the States had militia acts requiring citizens to obtain a suitable weapon to help defend home and hearth. How can a citizen comply if they don't have a right to keep and BEAR arms? It seems under the 9th and 10th that ANY rights or liberties enjoyed by the People of those days must be respected by the Federal Government unless the Constitution is amended.
