what is difference in musket caps

what is the difference between CCI Musket Reinactment caps and just plain CCI Musket
caps??

CCI musket caps have been 6 wing and the reenactors say the wings fly off.(I have never had that happen to me while shooting live, I don't reenact) I see the reenactor caps are 4 wing.

I have been doing some reseach into musket caps and found a few groups that are no longer using CCI because of fragments flying off and injuring shooters. They seem to be going to the German caps. Just for your info: http://www.holmesbrigade.freeservers.com/Safety_Alert.htm

Those top hat style caps do fragment! Wear glasses if you have to shoot them. I changed over to German caps which are a little more expensive but what the cost of saving your eye sight!
