I just ordered an extra large cheese pizza because it is too hot here in SE Pa. to go out. My wife is slicing fresh garden tomatoes, and we have left-over Cubanelle fried peppers to spread on top. We will share a nice Merlot wine from our local French Creek Ridge Winery. Getting old doesn't mean getting boring! :) :) :)

Mule deer backstraps, marinated in olive oil, worchestshire and soy sauce, grilled over charcoal and served on a bed of rice.

Just had a plate of linguini with homemade sauce featuring ground venison from last year's whitetail, beer bread, grilled zucchini from my garden and some jug sangria. Followed by apple pie (won at my first ML shoot), a glass of Maker's Mark, and a nice stinky ceegar!

Had leftover barbecued flank steak (marinated in honey, teriyaki, oil, garlic, onion, vinegar and dry mustard) sliced thin and served cold alongside a mound of cottage cheese topped with a layer of fresh tomatoes from the garden, still warm from the afternoon sun.

MSH,
Have a 3/4 pound lake trout fillet that i will
marinate in wish-bone & fresh lemon juice for about
1/2 hour then charcoal grill wrapped in foil with some
of the marinade for no more than 15/20 minutes.
Will already have, soaked husk on corn, on grill
15 minutes prior to putting fish on.
Now thats what i will have...Mrs snake will have
some corn and tomato soup and maybe a salad. Poor
lady will not eat fish unless its fish sticks, and that
is like eating fish by-products.
Lots of butter, salt&pepper on the corn.
I'm happy, this don't happen every nite.
snake-eyes :hatsoff:

Well tonight thw wife and kiddo's will have pinto's and ham and some corne bread .And for desers its some chocolate chees cake from carnagee delicatesson that my step dad got For us.for me its the been with no ham but I may just do alittle foo.I will also skip the chees cake.I have a hard time with domestic meat as I saw the slaughter house in Greely Co. and I cant eat it .

3SD,
Are you saying you do not eat any domestic meat??
Unless your living with Ted Nuggent that makes you
a vegitarian or one very good hunter..
There is a lot of stuff we would not eat if we
saw the process. Hot dogs and bologna for two and
sausage and brautwurst for 3&4. Not to mention some
of the frozen dinners that we eat. Oh, and don't forget
chickens & turkeys we all know they live an exalted life
before they are consumed.
My own personel experience with meat weather wild
or domestic is if it is cooked properly it is as safe as
a chemically treated fruits and veggies and maybe more so,
as meat if cooked properly is very safe. :imo:
snake-eyes :hmm:

If you get hungry enough, you will eat just about anything. Since I was in the service, I cannot recall anything that I have refused. Even after having seen how it is processed.

You drink water. Don't you know what Fish do in there??

Yup thats me.I am not going to say it is not safe just the image(and smell) stuck.I do enjoy a steak now and again but I buy it at a small butcher when I can find them.I am not a good hunter and I agree wild game can be dangerous to if precautions arnt taken. But no no'BEEF" :crackup:with the beef industry here.

Well, my wife made Penne Carol. It is her version of Penne Franco from Carrabbas Italian Restaurant. It is penne pasta with seasoned grilled chicken, pitted calamata olives, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, chopped garlic and some other good stuff all cooked up together. It was coupled with some home made Caesar dressing on Romaine lettuce. I had water as a beverage with mine. Wine would have been good, but I would have fallen asleep drinking it! (busy day in the sun...)
