I hope I'm not beating this stuff to death but I can't recall reading anything about whether to put in the filler or wad first or if it matters.

I was thinking of loading powder-wad-filler-ball.

Or should it be powder-filler-wad-ball?

Or maybe just powder-filler-ball.

I'm sure I want to use a wad for the extra cleaning/lubing properties.

Personally, I think using filler will be a pain but I guess if I have to I will.

wad-filler-ball. you might get a .25acp or .32acp case soldered to a heavy wire as a dipper for the grits. or cream of wheat is what some uses.

Never tried using filler and a wad together. For me it's either filler or a wad or two. Let me know how the combo works out for you. I'm always up to try new things.

I use nine shot sometimes. I put 20 grains in my ROA and take up the space with shot. It was easy to do with my shot snake, course shot was cheaper then. Oddly enough my Ruger really liked that load. The guys on the firing line at the rondy didn't.

I've just come across some 3/8" lubed wads by circle fly, no other fillers needed, super handy, and about 1/4 the price of those felt wonder wads.
