This has actually been an ongoing process, but I finally put the finishing touches on my Pedersoli trade gun today. I’ve successfully removed all factory barrel and lock markings, refinished and toned the stock to give it some patina, swapped out the stock ramrod thimbles with the ribbed variety from Track, replaced the serpent side plate with a more historically accurate version, and tuned the lock to give faster ignition and improved trigger pull.I noticed a small hairline crack just behind the barrel tang this afternoon, so I inlet the area just a smidgen to allow for expansion and forced some thin CA glue into the crack. I’m hopeful this will resolve the issue.
