Re-bluing the barrel and tang on a TC Hawken for a friend. Got too hot and humid to do good work.

Make and mend day. Took the girls out, wiped the bores, oiled them and checked for rust( none) gave the stocks a coat of wood oil rubbed in.

Have not done it yet, but loading up the pickup with 5 black powder guns and heading to the range within the next 1/2 hr, going to make them safe queens work up a sweat today

Couple of nights ago, I made a 48" hickory range rod for a friend who saw mine and "had to have a new one" for himself. Gifted it to him and he was tickled pink (looked pink anyway).

Shuffling piles to finally get all range rods, cleaning rods, patches, cleaning stuff in one place. Next on "the list" ...same thing for caps, primers, flints. This will take awhile.

Just scored 31 #11 Remington caps and a dozen #10 Remingtons as well. They seem to shoot ok on my rifle too.

Reminded MLAGB Committee Members of copy deadline for 'Black Powder' magazine (members magazine that I edit).
Confirmed to a correspondent the year that the barrel on his Parker-Hale Whitworth was proofed.

Got a little range time in…..this target is a total of ten shots….five high right, four at the bullseye, one…uh…flinch, jerk, didn’t squeeze…I dunno. All in all, I was happy!
