Thanks guys for all the info.
I am thinking of building from a component set and did not know a lot about the differences with barrels. From what I hear from you, they will all shoot straighter than I will, so I will not worry about what my choices will be. I am thinking of this as a winter project and wanted to feel better about what I choose.

This is a great forum thanks for the info and I am sure I will have more questions when I start.

thanks again

I have one of moody's early barrels on my lancaster. But I think you all forgot aout Dehaas barrels. :hmm: Most all of the better off hand shooters that I shoot with us and swear by Dehaas barrels. Ive got a 54cal Dehaas on the way for my new project. BambiSlayer
