thanks for all the responce and very good advice. tom knight was correct one did speek to me, from the start i wanted a jaeger. i just needed a little direction. i talked to the folks at track of the wolf, very helpfull. i think they have what i want. i know i will need some advice from all the experts here and i will be asking for it.

Go for it, TOW has lots of good stuff, I've dealt with 'em a long time with no problems, even with returns. Keep us posted dixiecat, we love pic's
 
If you have the time & energy, I suggest ya drive over to Cross Plains TN & check out Tip Curtis Frontier Shop. (615)654-4445 Tip has more variations of rifles than anyone I know, and about 3 mil. in parts inventory there. Hundreds of stocks & barrels & locks & trim, and allot of rifles built "In the White". There you can pick up & shoulder about 20 + dif. types & then really have the feel of what ya want, rather than guessing. Call him before ya go to insure he will be there. Plan on spending the day, as you Will Not want to leave. :grin:

I'm a fan of tow and pecotonica. North star west makes trade guns that can be bought with rifled barrels. It isn't h/c but good looking and usable. To my eye and completely subjective Jagers were the worlds fist realy good looking guns.
