I really appreciate the wealth of knowledge everyone is sharing. I'm excited to get some round balls and start shooting. I have my eye on a .50 Hawkins that I would like to get next. Never thought black powder would be so much fun, it's quite fascinating.

I don't remember if you said that you reload cartridges or not.
What has to be realized with a muzzleloader is, that one is "reloading" with every shot and the same attention to detail is needed as with cartridges if any semblance of accuracy is to be maintained.
