As I stated in my old Hopkins & Allen reworking thread I've finally finished it and am considering selling it.
The only sold prices I can find are from the 20teens on un-customized Minuteman flintlocks and percussion models.
So I'm trying to get a fair idea of what I might charge and yes I know it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it so we don't need to go there. Just looking for an honest assessment.

They were basically equivalent to the CVA-Jukars of the day, but since it is a full stock maybe slightly more valuable. I would say in the $250 range.

You clearly put more then $250 worth of work into this project. Unfortunately the base rifle limits the appeal for the finished product. Good practice and choose a more desirable base to use your talents on for future work.

Re-furbishing only brings it back to what an excellent one would be, it does not increase the value.

Price mentioned is in line.

That's why I'm asking for honest assessments though the ones I did see sold after 2000 were in the $300 - 350 range and were percussion. Not that that matters all that much being it's an H&A but it gave me what I thought was a base.

One sold here earlier this year for 400 if that helps any.

Maybe...the last ASKING price was $400 plus shipping, but we usually don't know what anything might have actually sold for.

That said, in today's environment, I'd ask more than $250. That seems low for current markets. Maybe a few years ago, but I wonder in today's hot market for "everything" if the fair selling price wouldn't be perhaps $100 higher than that. I've almost fallen over seeing what ToTW has had guns priced at over the last 18 months and they were selling out like crazy...don't know the final selling price, but the asking prices were WAY up there.

What is the barrel length?

Is the barrel Spanish?

A Year ago on this forum one in lesser used condition went for $350.00 plus shipping....

I believe it's American made but don't quote me on that. Numrich Arms, Hurley NY and G. Y. are stamped on top of the barrel which is 39".

Bore is in excellent shape, sparks good.

I'm no expert but you've rehabilitated an excellent entry-level long gun. In the current market $350-400 asking price is acceptable so long as the lock is in good shape and the bore is good. I think you should easily be able to get $350, lesser guns have brought that recently.
Biggest issue is shipping, shipping my Fussil recently cost me $120.

With the PA late season being flintlock only a 50 cal flintlock is worth at least $300 here. Shipping cost could be a problem.

I agree that $400 would be a deal for a flintlock. My last purchase needed almost $100 for shipping.
I might go so far as to ask $500-600, plus shipping, and see where that goes.
Buyers never offer more than the asking price, so you should start a little higher, and then consider your offers.
Good luck with your sale, and keep us posted.

If your lock sparks very well make a video of it. That is a great selling point. I was tire kicking a pedersoli harpers ferry pistol until the seller sent me a video of how well it sparked. I bought it immediately. Harpers ferry locks are hit and miss on how well they throw sparks. The one I got was a hit.
