After doing some searching, its a half stock mountain rifle. The lock is a Siler, trigger guard is for a tennessee mountain rifle. Someone on another forum said it looked like something from the 1840's. You accidentally break the stock, smith cuts it back and turns into a half stock and upgraded the flintlock to the newer style percussion. Sounds good to me.
