Just curios to see whats on the wish list of my fellow bp shooters. For me personally in the next year to 1 to 2 years I want...

1. Medieval hand gonne (.75 or .50 cal)
2. Matchlock Musket (.75 cal)
3. English Lock Fishtail Fowler (.75 cal)

Time period is early, but I figure I'd start off early in the time line then work my way up. Now whats on your wish list?

I have what I've wanted but would like a 36 cal. Don't know why, maybe it's because it's one of the few calibers I don't have but I would like to build one from scratch some day. Don't know which one though. I'm sure some day I'll see something I can't live without.

I never really know what I want until I see it. A notion just sort of ambushes me when I'm in a used gun shop or a parts table at a gun show.
It's frightening I tell you never knowing when your gonna be "bushwacked" by some seductive shooting iron or components to build one.
I have a real soft spot for disfigured orphans that no one else seems to be particularly interested in for some reason. Some of em shine up pretty good!
You could leave your money home as a restricting measure but when the notion strikes all common sense flies out the door and then you're reduced to running around like a beggar pestering all your friends for a loan to get the vitally important item anyway.Might just as well take your money along I guess course then you become the bank roll for your friends in the same fix! :rotf: Mike D.

I pretty much started from scratch a little over a year ago after being away from the game for twelve years.
To play the game at most primitive shoots I needed a good rifle and a good smoothbore. I got 'em. I didn't need, but wanted, a North Star Officer's Fusil. I got it.
In the past year I was able to reacquire the Tingle half-stock I sold when I left the game after being burglarized in 99. Two earlier attempts to get back into shooting (no matter how hard I tried I just couldn’t work up any enthusiasm) resulted in two (some of you may need to turn your heads) TVM rifles. One, a .36 Southern gun I’m keeping, the other, a .50 Virginia gun I’m selling.
I’ve bought two rifles in the last year simply because they were too good to pass up for the price. That might happen again, but I’m not actively shopping anymore, and there are really only two guns on my wish list.
The first is the Edward Marshall rifle that was stolen from me in 99, and the other - to a far lesser degree - is the original J R Brumfiel chunk gun taken the same night. Even after all these years, I would still like to see the persons responsible suffer the same fate Col. Crawford did.

A new stock for my .54 cal G.M. barrel from Pecatonica River Long Rifle Supply in #4 maple....and then looking to build a Hopkins&Allen under hammer buggy gun in .45 caliber! That is if'n the Lord is willing and the creeks don't rise! :v

Since I already have quite a few black powder guns, the only one that is left on my wish list is a nice 12 ga shotgun. I let one get away from me a few years ago and am sorry that I did that. Now, I would like to have it back or one just like it. Oh, the bad decisions that we make and live to regret.

A Lancaster or York County longrifle with a swamped barrel and nice simple carving.

A First Model Colt Dragoon

A Navy Pocket revolver

I want a good smoothbore flint for rabbit hunting, been thinking about a pedersoli Mortimer 12ga or a NorthStar Officers fusil

About twelve full size civil war cannons. Place them three to a side on my property.
Declare war on the United States...surrender. Then get all of the rebuilding federal funds and retire to Friendship.

Vearl

everything I see..Its always changing. BUT I think the next one will be either a shotgun/large cal smoothbore, or a halfstock 40/45 cal. but who knows whats really next
