I often hear about the Pedersolis (12 gauge) that are 5 pounds something. Which years, models are these? I have a 12 and a 20. Both are over 6 pounds with the 12 being 3 ounces heavier than the 20. I would love a 6 pound or less ML SxS. The weight adds up after my typical 2-6 miles a day birdhunts.

They were made in the 70's, possible into the early 80's.
I have one, it's as light as a feather and in my avata.

My Pedersoli 12 gauge double proofed in 1978 weighs in at just under 6 pounds, 5.8 pounds if I recall correctly (don’t have my data sheet in front of me). At some point after 1978 it appears the Pedersolis went off their diet and started gaining weight, though I do not have any more recent samples to actually weigh. And the chokes on mine are cylinder/modified.

No idea what year my 12 gauge is, but its around 5 1/2 pounds with no choke. If its not wet, its the fun i now prefer to hunt with.
You will find a date stamp on the bottom of the barrels. Below is a photograph of the markings on the bottom of the Pedersoli double I own. 18.3 is the nominal bore diameter, 12gauge or .720”. AD is the proof year (1978). The PN (polere nera) indicates it is a blackpowder gun.

Well I weighed mine for the first time. I was surprised that the 12b with 1-inch longer barrels than the 20b weighed one-ounce less at 7 pounds 3 ounces. The 20b (obviously) weighs 7 pounds 4 ounces. I really want a 6 pound or less shotgun.....

not sure you're going to see that from a major producer today; combination of fear of you blowing yourself up, and trying to use the same barrel blanks for different things. Now a custom job, with custom barrels, that's doable.

My stand by Pedersoli 12 is a 1978 [AD] and both barrels are cylinder. It weighs 5lbs 14.5 ounces uncharged. It was a kit that someone else made, not very well, and I did a fair bit of re-inletting and Arca glassing, and some reshaping of the stock before it was really usable. Now I love it.

I recently purchased a 1975 [AA] (probably unfired version) and it weighs virtually the same amount. It uses metric square shoulder nipples, while the 1978 has standard 1/4 by 28 threads. I'd been watching for this gun for about ten years.
