Would like to go to one, but don't know when any are. Seems like I can't find anything worth mentioning BP related at the local gunshows. Any plae I can get information on local(central ohio) rendezous?

Any help is appreciated.

Go to www.nmlra.org and click on enter, then click on upcoming events, then click on National Rendezvous. These are the rendezvous sanctioned by NMLRA. I'm sure there are lots of others, like the Alafai coming up in Florida in January, but I have no info on them. You might use your search engine and find some local or non NMLRA ones. I see one will be in Lockington, Ohio next summer. You need to be a NMLRA member to set up a camp for those NMLRA events or be with a member. Hope this helps a little. I have attended quite a few and really enjoy them. Susie

Get yourself a copy of Smoke And Fire News. They list every shooting match and rendezvous in the country. You can find it online at www.smoke-fire.com. It's $2 an issue and comes out several times a year.

Smoke and Fire comes out every month and is a good source. Depending on where in Ohio you are there are lots of things that are going on. I can give you some generals. Check out the Coalition of Historical Trekker's public message board at www.coht.org or try these: http://www.mctfr.com/ Morgan County Market Faire http://www.grassyrun.org/ Battle of Grassy Run http://www.canterscave4hcamp.com/events/sol/index.htm Son's of Liberty http://www.caesarscreekvillage.org/ Ceasar's Creek Pioneer Village
I also put a lot of events on my yahoo calendar from the different groups I belong to at http://calendar.yahoo.com/mikitrat

Let me know if you want a specific area and time of year,
Miki

click on your state

the Ohio list is about a mile long. I spend about 1 weekend a month reenacting in OH. What part of the state are you in?

will also link you to groups and sites. Make sure you scroll down to the bottom where all of the events and sites are listed.

This doesn't provide general info on a lot of 'vous, just the Alafia in January.

A most excellent gathering, if I may say so

Coon-N-Crockets used to have an updated calendar. Don't know if they still do. The PowderHorn News is an excellent source of information also, similar to Smoke & Fire. However, I don't think the PHN has a website.
