Spot, try; "www.living-history.net", scroll down to "List of Pre 1840's Groups"... I think you'll find some information there. :)
 
"Smoke and Fire News" has complete nation wide listings, hundreds of events in all eras, even you "short history" folks out west! "Muzzle Blast" also has listings of national and affiliated club events. You can even down load the registration forms from the NMLRA/Foundation website.
If you are into serious history try the Colition of Historic Trekkers website and links. You can also contact individual historic sites about scheduled events and standards.
 
I suscribe to "Powder Horn News" a monthly for $18 1yr. I heard smoke and fire is a good one too.

The tough part is finding one close to ya and attendin it.You can usually find from the local/attendies plenty of info for others near by too plan vaca. Just find a feller/gal that answers to "whars da booshway?".
Dustin and I will travel bout' 200miles for a vous',but that comes a plannin fer vaca., fer settin camp,cookin,shootin,palaver an just general carry'n on! I like to schedual long weekends(Thurs-Fri/Monday off).
I got 6 planned fer mid-May thru Oct all here in Mn, I'd like ta be at more but fer the life a me I can't be in two places at the same tyme!!

At http://www.freetrapper.com/ you can find lot of them in Kansas. 14.15.16 of May they will have a spring one in Juntion City and Obloin Ks. My daughter is putting one on the 17 and 18 of July at Corndodger Station near Frankfort.
