Looking to get a throwing knife (or knives) for rendezvous.

I like the looks of the beaverbill throwing knives. Anyone have experience with them? Which is your favorite, the LONG or SHORT model? Do they throw equally well?

Any others that you would recommend or that are better? I have also considered getting a Cold Steel, stripping it down and refinishing. Anyone done this? Thoughts?

Thank you all for any input or opinions.

Good question but its like asking " what's better cap or flint ". My throwing knife is about 10 inches long and a bit on the heavy size. Beaver shape knifes I don't like but that is just me. Try to handle as many as you can and see what fits your hand and the weight that you like. I know I gave a pretty general answer, but to me a knife is a personal item and you have to pick one that feels right in your hand and most importance one that you can throw and stick.

I have an H&B Forge throwing knife. Mine is about as long as my fore arm, that is from elbow to the top of my fingers when making a fist. You've seen 'em around

This is one of those things that I don't get too obsessive about which is best. It's going to get pretty beat up. So just get one, learn to throw it, and enjoy yourself.

The Cold Steel knives are... ok. They are very light compared to the ones shown above. I think you would be better served with just about any one of the heavier knives.

I have a couple of Cold Steel knives. I also have a couple of Fort Turner throwing knives, and one very similar to the H&B Forge.
