-----I heard that kik ff is the same as shooting goex fff---any one know for sure or should I stay with goex---- :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: I shoot goex fff in all my guns but kik is so much cheaper-----
Interesting. I've tried Kik 3f but not the 2f yet. I have noticed, in one of my rifles, I get a fouling "ring" in the barrel about where the charge meets the PRB. I've noticed it more with the Kik powder.
kik powder has served me well, I can tell no difference between the goex and kik powders. Maybe kik burns cleaner but not enough to matter. I buy on price only between the two.
I like KIK
---was looking at---powder inc.---very good prices and shipping and hazmat are included in the price-----kik is about a buck cheaper a can-than goex----
-----goex at 25 cans is 11:85 each where kik is 10:40 each if getting 25 cans-----I use 3 f goex in all my rifles is kik 3f to hot for in a 58 cal---or would it be the same presure wise as goex 3f
I have shot KIK 2f and 3f in my .58 & .62 bbls, cant tell the difference in my caplocks, the flintlock seems to like the 3f a tadd better. But either is a great powder.
I went through 25 lbs of KIK a year or two ago. I liked it. I would have bought more but I managed to score 25 pounds of bulk GOEX 3F for $9.00 a pound.
I used 2F KIK in my rifles .50 and above. It worked just about the same as GOEX 3F. I used the 3F in my .36 and .32. It worked as well if not a little better than GOEX 3F. The loads for the larger calibers stayed pretty much the same as the GOEX 3F.
-----40 years of goex--broke down and ordered kik-not working and $1.40 less a can sounds to good to pass---some times you have to pinch your pennies till LINCOLN squeels----- :surrender: :surrender: :surrender:
I was at the Rocky Mountain Rendezvous up on Henry's Fork Saturday and also bought 25 pounds of bulk Goex 3F for $9 per pound. It was from Bear River Powder, from Evanston, WY. He is a master distributor for Goex. His cans of Goex were $12. Another trader had his marked $16.75 per can. His E-mail: [email protected].
