I would check the twist of the rifling.

A ramrod shouldn't keyhole like that.

Maybe he did it on purpose? Knowing your potential ramrod accuracy could come in handy if you run out of lead.

A couple fletch on the end would straighten it right out!

Lost a .32 ramrod like that once. I'd made it from an arrow shaft. Never did find it.

I, too, shot a ramrod! Not this impressive, though!

Amazing shot. Usually when you shoot the ramrod the heavy kick causes you to shoot way high. How do I know?

Saw it happen on a squirrel hunt in Callaway County. It happens.

did it with a delrin rod. hit the target in an "S" shape! took me a moment to figure out what i had done. recoil was horrific, hammer reset itself, and my eyes watered.

Well he cut the paper inside the circle. Technically, it should count as a hit or at least it's an arguing point to be made with the range officer.

I remember shooting failure drills with the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office in Southern, IL. We shot 15 rounds, but my target had 16 hits (one outside the line). Range officer immediately wanted to count the "off paper" shot as a miss, until I had him count the rounds inside the line. I reminded him the guy next to me was new and a terrible shot. The gentleman next to me agreed as he had only 12 shots on his target. Not sure where the other 2 shots went, likely under the target.

We had a fellow in FL a number of years back who shot arrows from a .50 caliber T/C Hawken. At 100 yards it shot pretty good.
