I have several white oak beams that came from an old bridge that stood over Tigris Creek in Alleghany County in from of the old Crows Tavern. When this bridge was removed in the 1920s it was repurposed as a shed on the tavern site from where I salvaged the old pieces. The bridge had been there at least as early as the 1840s with the creation of what is now VA159. The tavern dated back to 1805 so the old Kanawha Trail (1780s) could have crossed in front of the tavern in those days. Tavern burned in 1969 unfortunately. Cool little cup from an area with a lot of good history. It's made as a repro of a Revolutionary War cup similar to those seen in the Encyclopedia of the American Revolution. $35 plus shipping. For online payment I have PayPal, Zelle, Cash App or I can take a check or money order.
