Must have been from a scrapped out breech loading shotgun. Too bad about the one hammer, but guess who has a spare . I wish I had the rest of the gun. If you can't tell its all hand engraved and the insides are in perfect condition.

one more set Parker brothers this time.

(whom ever moved the topic the first pics are not Muzzleloader locks.)

What luck huh? Still need to find some barrels though :haha:

Roy,
With all the work you have piling up in your shed, I don't think you'll have time to work on any of them locks anytime soon. Therefore, I recommend that when you return my tomahawk, you just go ahead and throw them in the box as well.

How do you come across all this cool stuff.

Roy,
Just wondering if you discovered these
items before or after the purchase . Sure there
is some luck involved but knowledge will outdo
luck almost everytime.IMO
Looks like you did good!
snake-eyes :hatsoff:

I repaired a few things for a fella and he brought by 3 or 4 cigar boxes filled with "junk locks" and some spare parts. Figured he would never use them. A lot of it is junk. So it was just pure dumb luck. :winking:

My next question is who could copy the engraving when I get the other hammer made?

Thats right I need to make the hammer the spare I thought I had wouldn't work. :(

(but atleast I can make one :haha:)

Sure are some beautiful parts. Really good quality engraving work. I can't wait to see what you end up making from them. :)

Thanks, but I am afraid Slowpoke is right about time so it could take a bit. But then again you never know.

I'm not going anywhere. I'll still be around to see it whenever you get it finished. That's a great find. :)

I'll see if I can get a better pic for you a bit later.

I need to see more hammer and less hand.... :rotf:

I know a couple people that might could do it for you. I even know a gal down the street that works for the US mint. She did some work for me one time that turned out rather nice.
