Don't know much about Parker Bros. shotguns (that is locks off one?) but I would like to have seen the gun those came off when it was new.

The Parker Bros. Locks are the second set of plates that I posted pics of, they have some real fine engraving on the side. One with ducks, or geese and the other appears to be a pheasant. Parker Bros. produced some fine shotguns indeed.

Both sets of these lock plates were off of early sxs breech loading shotguns. I would love to find out what the other set of locks were originally off. Still looking for some barrels :haha: .

Roy, you say you are looking for a set of barrels. Does this mean you have the action as well or do you intend to use these locks for a percussion ML?. If you intend to make a ML, then you will have to change both hammers. If you have the action and intend to restore it, BL barrels are not TOO difficult to find, they are on ebay all the time but finding a set to fit a specific action would be next to impossible IMO and a set would have to be modified to fit. BTW, I could match that engraving for you if you like.

I am actually going to try to find a barreled action. To change it over to a percusion besides changing out the hammers I would have to make new tumblers for them as well, or put in a half cock notch and probably a fly.
Thanks, I'll let you know when I get the new hammer made.

Roy, I should at least get credit for bringing the guy with those parts to your shop, I even know where he got them. Means I get first crack at whatever you build from them, doesn't it?

Get back to work on my fowler, you slacker. Doc

Sorry boys, its bow season
